High tea above the trees at View restaurant in Johannesburg

I recently had the opportunity to indulge in a special high tea at View restaurant, honouring my cousin Debbie, for her baby shower. View restaurant is situated at the Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, in Johannesburg, and overlooks the gorgeous canopy of trees as well as the urban cityscape.

Celebrating a special occasion

Debbie would be welcoming her little boy, Logan, into the world soon after the shower; so this was reflected in the blue décor and understated superhero theme. I had the pleasure of arranging the flowers for the occasion; which included blue delphiniums, white carnations, baby’s breath and eucalyptus leaves.

We were a party of about 20 guests, who were lucky enough to get to appreciate private dining on the deck. We were pampered with impeccable service and enjoyed divine treats whilst taking in the magnificent views that Johannesburg has to offer.

Enjoying exquisite cuisine

First we enjoyed a fine cheese platter with fruit, jam and crackers. Next we were served with fresh scones and cream. And then a little while later, we were presented with a multitude of delectable treats which were an array of sweet and savoury bites.

It was the perfect venue for the baby shower and I will definitely be stopping by again to enjoy a meal from their full offering. View restaurant does not disappoint.
